Director General
Director General, NWDA, who is of the rank of Additional Secretary to the Government of India, Principal Executive Officer of the Society, and responsible for all day to day affairs including technical, legal, administrative, financial including all multi disciplinary matters of the Society. The Headquarters and Field Establishments of the Agency is respectively located at New Delhi and various States/Regions of India.
The Director General, NWDA at the headquarters is assisted by Chief Engineer (HQ) and the Chief Engineer (HQ) is supported by Director (Technical), Director (Finance), Director (Administration), Director (Multi Disciplinary Unit) and two Superintending Engineers, namely Superintending Engineer(S) and Superintending Engineer(N).
NWDA has mainly 2 field Chief Engineer Level Establishments (North & South) and are respectively headed by Chief Engineer (North) and Chief Engineer (South). As on date, under the Chief Engineer (North) organizational set up, there are 3 Investigation Circles (ICs) and 7 Investigation Divisions (IDs). The 3 ICs are headed by Superintending Engineers [SE (Gwalior), SE (Bhubaneswar) and SE (Patna)] and the 7 IDS are headed by Executive Engineers [ EE (Jhansi), EE (Bhubaneswar), EE (Patna), EE (Bhopal), EE (Kolkata), EE (Lucknow) and EE (Gwalior) ].
While under the Chief Engineer (South) organizational set up, there are 2 ICs headed by Superintending Engineers [ (SE (Valsad) and SE (Hyderabad)] and 8 IDs headed by Executive Engineers [ EE (Valsad), EE (Nagpur), EE (Vadodara), EE (Hyderabad), EE (Bengaluru), EE (Chennai), EE ID-I (Nashik) and EE ID-II (Nashik)].
